POLICIES & RULES
Policies & Rules

The Edwards Aquifer Authority Act provides the basis for our policies, guidelines and rules, all of which aim to help us better manage, enhance and protect the Edwards Aquifer. These include rules that, among other things, require permits for withdrawing water from the aquifer, set standards for the construction and maintenance of wells, restrict certain activities on the recharge zone to protect the aquifer from pollution, and others. The Act as well as the Authority rules can be viewed or downloaded from this website.

The Edwards Aquifer Authority Rules are Final Rules that have been adopted by final order of the Authority's Board of Directors.  These rules are effective and enforceable by the Authority.
