Rules and Regulations
The EAA Rules are rules that have been formally adopted by the EAA Board of Directors. These rules are effective and enforceable by the EAA.
EAA Rules are available for download from this website, or alternatively, copies of the rules may be requested by contacting the EAA Docket Clerk at (210) 222-2204 or (800) 292-1047.
From time to time, the EAA may propose to amend its rules. In order to do so, the EAA Board of Directors must first approve a set of Proposed Rules to be released for public notice and comment. After a set of Proposed Rules have been release, the public may make written or oral comments on them during a defined public comment period of at least 45 days.
Written comments on Proposed Rules may be filed with the EAA by sending them to the following address:
Edwards Aquifer Authority
Attention: Public Policy
900 E. Quincy
San Antonio, Texas 78215
The EAA will also hold one or more public hearings on all sets of Proposed Rules in order to better inform the public and receive additional public comment. All public hearings are held during the prescribed public comment period described above.
A schedule for public hearings on any set of Proposed Rules may be viewed in the Public Hearings section of this website.
The EAA board of directors may consider adoption of the set of Proposed Rules as Final Rules after considering all public comments received and the EAA's formal response to those comments.
