Pat Stroka

District 10 - Hays County

Patrick Stroka is a member of the Edwards Aquifer Authority Board of Directors, representing District 10, which covers a southern portion of Hays County.  Mr. Stroka was elected to the board in November 2008. His current term expires December 1, 2012. Mr. Stroka serves on the Permits/Enforcement and Research & Technology committees of the board.
 
Mr. Stroka, a resident of Hays County, was born in Odessa, Texas. He is a graduate of Permian High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University in San Marcos. Mr. Stroka has been employed with the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, Disability Determination Service since February 1997.

Mr. Stroka is a member of the San Marcos River Rangers and has been involved with water collection and sampling at several locations since 1997. He is a member of the San Marcos River Foundation, Sierra Club and the Ocean Conservatory. He is also a Texas Water Safari finisher in solo and tandem classes.
 
Mr. Stroka’s civic and community involvement includes serving as the past chair of the Human Development Commission for the City of San Marcos and as treasurer and president of the San Marcos Tennis Association.
