The South Central Texas Water Research Interest Group

The South Central Texas Water Research Interest Group (SCTWRIG) was started in 2013 by the Edwards Aquifer Authority as a forum to foster inter-agency collaboration in water science throughout the region. Since then, the informal meeting has been held every six months in different locations, hosted by various entities, including: The Cibolo Nature Center, Blanco Pedernales Groundwater Conservation District, Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District, Nueces River Authority, Texas A & M – San Antonio, United States Geological Survey, Texas Water Development Board, Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority, and Comal Trinity Groundwater Conservation District. The meeting consists of 8-9 technical or topical presentations of 20 minutes each, and is intended to help raise awareness of the various water science projects undertaken in the region.
