An Adventure Awaits You
The Edwards Aquifer Authority’s Education Outreach Center (EOC) offers a dynamic program that educates visitors on protecting the Edwards Aquifer and its endangered species through engaging water‑conservation initiatives. Situated within the recharge zone at Morgan’s Wonderland Camp, the center features interactive exhibits—such as the Karst Cave Theater, Cloud Caster, and Threatened & Endangered Species Aquarium—where participants learn how reducing water use supports spring flows vital to species like the Texas Blind Salamander and Fountain Darter. School programs—including the “Aquifer 101” presentation in the limestone‑style cave theater—guide students through how groundwater moves, why conservation is critical, and how protecting aquifer-fed springs safeguards the habitat of endangered species. By blending science, hands-on learning, and STEAM-based conservation methods, the EOC empowers visitors to reduce water waste and actively participate in safeguarding the aquifer’s delicate ecosystem for years to come.
